Hello! I am Sarah. I use evidence based modalities such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporate a humanistic and strengths based approach. I have experience working with young adults with anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and issues related to body image and esteem.

In terms of problems, I am best positioned to serve clients experiencing trauma reactions, a history of adverse childhood experiences, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, and emotional dysregulation. Also, clients experiencing neurodivergence, such as coping with ADHD. In terms of population, I can best serve people of color, women, older adults, couples, families, Indian and other minority populations, and people seeking to have better mental health and functioning in general.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve

I have experience working with young adults with anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and issues related to body image and esteem.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize, and why?

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy this modality has been really helpful for my clients in restructuring and evaluating negative cognitions.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in my own experience as a client, I approached therapy with the idea that I was going to make major changes in myself and simply get rid of parts I was not proud of. This was something that held me back for quite a while in therapy, so emphasis on acceptance is something that is very important to me!

  • Client Centered Therapy I believe that my clients are experts on their own lives, and I want to make it a priority to hear what they share with an open mind.
